Disneyland's Home of The Future is a great prediction of the future. It was entirely made of plastics from the Monsanto company, and it was designed by engineers from MIT.
Welcome!.... To the Future! In this blog we will discover the futures of yesteryear, and the possibilities of Tomorrow!

In the mid-century (1930's-1960's) after the Industrial Revolution, society was exponentially evolving through technology. The World of Tomorrow was best described by Walt Disney in his dedication speech of Tomorrowland, "Tomorrow offers new frontiers in science, adventure and ideals. The Atomic Age, the challenge of Outer Space and the hope for a peaceful, unified world."

Science was leading to innovations in metals and plastics. Machines, through engineering, were making life and work easier. The Space Race starts after WWII, and we start sending satellites into orbit. With these leaps in technology, it is not hard to imagine why the predictions, and depictions of the future were so optimistic. So with that said, we begin our adventure into the future!
